The Power of a Word
Words. What do you think about them? How do you feel about them?
I think words are the most powerful thing to exist in the 21st century. They either lead to your doom or your fortune. Words have the power to both create and destroy. You either make or break using your words.
I have had my own share of experiences with different kinds of words. When you hear a certain set of words coming out of a person's mouth, what exactly happens in your brain? I always wonder if words alone have so much power.
Personally, I am not so sure. I have definitely been affected by words both positively and negatively. I am an extremely hard-working person. I love to do things, to find purpose and always aim to achieve things. One of the things I also aimed to achieve unintentionally is appreciation. What is appreciation? Just a group of words said to you. But I always wonder why the impact of these words is so heavy.
Would I feel the same way if Siri from my phone said — "You really worked hard, I am proud of you"? They are the same set of words that I would like to hear. That makes me wonder — why is it that I don't take Siri's words seriously?
